- Associate Veterinarian
Description
Homeward Bound Animal Hospital is an independently owned small animal practice (with mixed animal opportunities for those interested) housed in a stunning, brand-new building designed to evoke the warmth of a farmhouse attached to a barn. Both owners practice on-site daily — this is a place where leadership is present, invested, and genuinely cares about the team and the medicine.
We are seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our talented, low-turnover team of doctors and registered veterinary technicians. New graduates are warmly welcomed — our experienced team is committed to mentorship and creating a strong learning environment. Experienced candidates are equally encouraged to apply.
The Medicine We practice excellent, collaborative medicine across a great variety of species. Our primary caseload is dogs and cats, with additional opportunities to see guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, reptiles, pigs, goats, alpacas, and more for those who are interested. We believe in staying current: our doctors consistently exceed CE requirements, and our facility is equipped accordingly — digital radiography, digital dental radiography, advanced ultrasound with color Doppler, a comprehensive in-house laboratory, and fully electronic medical records.
The Opportunity In addition to our main hospital, we have a satellite clinic nearby — Olde Town Veterinary Clinic — staffed with a dedicated team and a wonderful, loyal client base. Opportunities may exist to work across both locations depending on interest and fit.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary with production-based compensation once the base is met
Health, dental, and vision insurance
Paid time off and paid holidays
Uniform allowance
CE allowance and license fee coverage
401(k) with generous employer match (after waiting period)
Profit sharing offered to established doctors — because we want you to stay, grow, and share in what you help build
Why Us? We're growing quickly, maintain excellent online reviews, and have a remarkably stable support staff — that's not an accident. We work hard to offer genuine work/life balance in a fun, busy, collaborative environment. Come see what we've built and decide for yourself.
Questions are always welcome and will be answered promptly. We look forward to hearing from you.
