Boerne, TX - Single location, non-corporate, family atmosphere. Small animal exclusive practice. Weekends off, no on-call or emergency duty. We are seeking a confident, compassionate, highly skilled full-time or part-time veterinarian to join our healthcare team. You will be free to utilize your extensive diagnostic capabilities since our technicians are highly trained and used to their fullest potential. We are looking for a self-starter who is dependable, energetic, and willing to teach, learn, and excel. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent client service skills, and high-level communication skills are required.
You will enjoy working in our beautiful, well-equipped facility in the Texas Hill Country. Our practice has a special interest in wellness/preventive care, and small animal dentistry with full mouth digital dental radiography on every dental prophylaxis. With over 2,000 active clients, our growing practice provides a bond-centered environment that is exciting, fast-paced, and professionally challenging while still maintaining our focus on client and patient service. Through the use of ultrasound, digital radiology, access to boarded specialists, balanced anesthetics, multi-modal anesthetic monitoring, Ellman Radiowave Surgical Unit, extensive soft tissue surgery capabilities, referral of all orthopedic surgeries (unless you wish to expand services), PulseVet shockwave technology, Class IV therapeutic laser, full in clinic lab plus daily reference lab, we provide exceptional care for clients.
In general, our clientele is well educated and expects the best for their pets. We are small animal exclusive, 70% canine, 30% feline, with separate dog & cat areas and Fear Free protocols. DVM degree from an AVMA accredited Veterinary School
Must be licensed or eligible to practice in the state of Texas
At least one year experience in a practice with similar clientele, values, practice philosophy and medical protocol (tech or volunteer experience considered for new/recent graduate)
Personality and people skills that compliment our staff and clientele
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer and typing skills, experience with Cornerstone a plus
Ability to lift 40# and safely handle & restrain small animals of varying temperment
Soft tissue surgery including spay, neuter, lumpectomy, exploratory
Small animal dentistry including oral surgery and extractions
