Externship Program

Our program structure:

Our externships are customizable programs of 2, 4, 6, or 8 weeks– but are typically two or three weeks in length. Work side-by-side with our team and get great practical experience. Focus on the things you want to focus on, and learn about your career possibilities with CityVet. Students will learn how to provide an exceptional client experience and diagnose various conditions, where mentorship is a company cornerstone, all in a modern, state-of-the-art facility.

We have multiple location options in Texas and Colorado and offer a stipend of $750 for out-of-state students and $500 for in-state students. 

Requirements:

• Be enrolled in an accredited DVM program.
• You are authorized to work in the United States.
• You must carry professional liability insurance. AVMA PLIT liability insurance is free for all student members of the AVMA. You may apply for this coverage on their website. Please check to make sure your coverage is current and submit a certificate of coverage with your application.
