Job Requirements Develop rapport with clients in order to assess their needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that delivers high quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort. Communicate with clients to help them understand their pet's diagnosis and prognosis and to help develop treatment and wellness plans. Maintain accurate and up to date EMR's. Maintain appropriate and necessary logs. Assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of cases. Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure both high-quality care and excellent client service. Represent the hospital positively to the public and the professional community. Additional duties as assigned. |
Additional Salary Information: Average First-Year Veterinarian Compensation: Approx. $105,000 (base salary + production); For more experienced veterinarians, higher base salaries are offered commensurate with experience. In addition, the following benefits are provided: all professional dues are paid by the practice; continuing education expenses are paid by the practice; health insurance (100% of premium is paid by practice); retirement plan, vacation (3 weeks); professional liability insurance. Moving expenses (up to $2,000) are provided.
