Associate Veterinarian (Southern Illinois, near St. Louis)

The Carlyle Animal Hospital in Carlyle, IL is seeking a full-time associate.  New graduates or experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply.  We are a 30 year old established and growing small animal practice with 3 doctors on staff.  Our facility is a recently renovated stand-alone building with 4 exam rooms, a surgical suite, digital radiography, in-house laboratory, dental radiography, dental/wet table and a recently expanded treatment room.   We currently work 34-40 hours per week with one day off during the week and no regular Sunday or evening hours.  Weekend work will consist of working UP TO 2 out of 4 Saturday mornings as needed.  Salary will vary depending on skills and experience, but we pay higher than average wages to all current veterinarians and staff.  Expect a starting minimum of at least $90,000 (more dependent on experience and references) with probable raise or bonus to cover any production differences after 6 months of employment.    Limited call will be shared equally once experience is gained as clients have reasonable access to a 24 hour facility (mainly checking on patients occasionally over the weekend and answering questions on the phone).  Benefits include:  pension plan, VIN membership, dues for AVMA, ISVMA, SIVMA, 2 weeks paid vacation (more, dependent on production and desired salary), licensure fees and continuing education.
