Associate Veterinarian

We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team at VCA Smoketown Animal Hospital just outside of Lancaster, PA!

At our top-notch, state of the art medical facility, we treat dogs, cats, and pocket pets. Our experienced and knowledgeable medical team is fully trained on the latest veterinary medicine and procedures, ensuring our patients receive the best veterinary care in the industry. At VCA Smoketown Animal Hospital we provide primary care, specialty surgery, diagnostic ultrasounds, physical rehabilitation, cardiology, and dental specialty services for a population of approximately 60,000 people. 

Our hospital:

- State of the art building includes nine exam rooms, a treatment area, three surgery suites, dental suite, a rehab department, grooming and boarding. We also offer puppy and dog training classes for the surrounding community.
- In-house laboratory capabilities for selected blood chemistries, urinalysis and sediments, PCV, TP, Fe-leuk, and various ELISA tests run by technicians. We use Antech laboratories for all other diagnostics.

- All of our x-rays are sent out to a radiologist for an expert opinion
- In house ECG's run and interpreted
- Direct Digital X-ray system
- Cutting edge dental suite, equipment, and Digital Dental X-rays
- Isoflurane anesthesia

- Complete pharmacy –large inventory of established pharmaceuticals as well as many of the latest developments
- Complete stock of Hills, Royal Canin, and treats for both dogs and cats
- MyVCA app available to clients to improve education, compliance and communication
- My Scheduler app for doctors to view their schedule from home and communicate with clients via a virtual number

We have a minor league baseball team, theaters, Hershey Park, outlet shopping, etc. The Susquehanna River provides the opportunity for hiking and boating!
