Established, growing Equine Sports Medicine Practice in Loveland is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to grow with us.
The successful candidate will be a personable, reliable professional who wants to expand their own skills as a member of a professional team that provides its clients with state-of-the-art Sports Medicine that empowers patients to realize their peak performance.
Our future team member will possess exceptional veterinary technician skills, and be a “horse person”, comfortable around horses and expert at horse handling. The individual must be physically able to jog horses, work in all weather conditions and be able to multitask. Attention to detail and ability to perform duties with minimal supervision are required. The successful applicant will be responsible, hard working, and work well in a team setting. We seek a team member who takes pride in themself, their work and has initiative to go above and beyond required duties to exceed customer expectations and to be a partner in growing the business.
Responsibilities include,: handling horses during exams: assisting doctors with diagnostics and treatments; paperwork, including entering data and invoices into eVetPractice software; entering coggins/health certificates into Global VetLink, maintaining pharmaceutical inventory, stocking the vet truck and keeping it presentable, and client communication. We will train the successful individual in digital radiography, laser, RRT and Shockwave therapies.
Equipment includes: Digital X-Ray, Digital Ultrasound, IRAP/PRP centrifuge, pro-stride system, Shockwave, RRT, Class 4 cold laser. Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) strongly desired, but not required. If the CVT is possessed, we plan to have the CVT have client appointments. Excellent driving record and ability to drive our vet truck required. A background check and working interview required
Currently offering flexible hours. Hours sometimes go later into evenings with the occasional weekend horse show, rodeo or travel to Steamboat Springs, CO. This job is expected to be full time within a year.
