Battenkill Veterinary is seeking to add a full time veterinary associate to our team. We are a four doctor, family owned, small animal hospital located in the best location Upstate NY has to offer. Within a short radius around Greenwich, NY we have Saratoga Springs, home of the Saratoga Racecourse and Saratoga Performing Arts Center. To the north are the Adirondack Mountains which appeals to any outdoor enthusiast. Take a scenic drive to see the fall foliage and meandering trout rivers or ski world renown mountains in Vermont. There is easy access to Albany International Airport for your travels and Amtrak train station for a short ride to NYC. Our goal as a Veterinary Hospital is to provide the best possible medical care for our patients through disease prevention, diagnostic testing, surgery, and client education.
About our clinic and team:
We pride ourselves in fostering a happy and healthy work environment with an experienced team that can also provide a mentorship for new graduates or even those seasoned veterinarians that are looking to expand on their skills.
Advanced diagnostic capabilities with both in house testing and reference lab testing. Our favorite diagnostic tool is our new ultrasound. You will have the opportunity to become certified in ultrasound imaging through our unique partnership with Oncura if you choose.
We have been family owned for over 40 years which allows us to make decisions that are in the best interest of our employees and clients. This also gives us the freedom to provide diagnostics and treatments for our loyal clientele to the standard of care we have created. Many of our employees have worked here since obtaining their degrees which is a testament to the atmosphere we have created.
What to expect:
- Associates work 4 days a week (8:30-5:30) and a rotating Saturday (8:30-2:00) typically once a month. No after hours emergencies!
- Critical care patients that require overnight care are referred to a local 24 hour emergency clinic.

Starting salary for new and recent graduates will be between $100,000-$110,000. Salary negotiations can be made for DVMs with greater than 5 years experience.
