Associate Veterinarian – Northside Animal Hospital (Madison, WI)Northside Animal Hospital is an AAHA‑accredited small animal practice located on Madison's beautiful north side. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, high‑quality veterinary care in a collaborative and supportive environment. We have a fantastic team of doctors, technicians, and support staff dedicated to exceptional patient care and client experience.
Position: Associate Veterinarian
As a member of our veterinary team, you'll work alongside experienced doctors and skilled technicians in a state‑of‑the‑art facility. You'll see a wide range of small animal cases-from wellness exams and vaccinations to dental work, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and more Northside Animal Hospital.
We currently have 3 full-time and 1 part-time DVMs in a 4 exam room space. Currently, a feline and canine practice only, but a long term goal would be to add a small percentage of exotics in the future, when we add additional exam rooms. You would be well equipped with 2-3 support staff per DVM.
What You'll Do
- Provide compassionate preventative and diagnostic care, including wellness exams, vaccinations, dental cleanings, spays/neuters, and in‑house diagnostics
- Perform soft tissue surgeries with client education and follow‑up support
- Collaborate with team members in internal medicine, allergy/dermatology, nutrition, and palliative/end‑of‑life care
- Communicate clearly with pet owners, answering questions and building lasting client relationships
What We're Looking For
- DVM or VMD degree with valid Wisconsin license (or ability to obtain)
- New grads welcome-mentorship available-or several years of experience in companion animal practice
- Strong communication skills and a passion for building pet‑owner relationships
- Preferable interest in canine & feline dental work, routine wellness care, and sick or injured dogs and cats
