Blayney Veterinary Clinic in Caldwell, ID is seeking an energetic, motivated, self-starting Associate Veterinarian to add to our amazing team!
Blayney’s has been serving both small and large animal clients and their pets for over 40 years! We boast a highly motivated, compassionate and dedicated team committed to providing sound medicine at a fair price for our immense client base. Our practice is 70% small animal and 30% large. In addition to cats and dogs, we also see dairy and beef cows, horses, small ruminants, and the occasional pet pig and rabbit. We are open 6 days a week: Monday through Friday 8 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 8 AM to 2 PM. We are 4 doctor practice with full support staff. After hours and weekend on call duties are shared between 3 doctors. The typical rotation consists of one night per week and every 3rd weekend. We have 2 nearby small animal emergency clinics and 1 equine emergency hospital.
We offer a competitive salary (starting at $65,000/year depending on experience), paid 2 weeks vacation, sick leave, yearly CE conference, state and national Association dues, DEA fees, liability insurance, personal health insurance stipend, and a personal work vehicle.
We are located in the heart of the Treasure Valley a half hour west of Boise. Caldwell’s population is roughly 50,000 residents and growing by the minute. We are a small drive from the beautiful Southern Idaho outdoors for recreational activities like skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, four wheeling, shopping, etc. Blayney’s is committed to giving back to the community by sponsoring 4H students yearly and volunteering for the cattle check in at the Canyon County Fair
About the Hospital
• Spacious hospital with 2 exam rooms, 2 surgery rooms, treatment area, boarding space, and large animal surgery room • Trailer pull in to corrals, squeeze chute, and equine stocks • In house laboratory capabilities: Abaxis system for preanesthetic and comprehensive panels, renal panel, liver panel, and T4, CBC, urinalysis and sediment, PCV/TP, various SNAP tests (Parvovirus, FELV/FIV, heartworm), and 3 working microscopes. Nearby full service laboratory in Boise for specialized testing and histopathology. • Digital radiography • Small animal ultrasound • Anesthetic monitoring machine: heart rate, pulse ox, blood pressure, EKG • Complete in house pharmacy for both small and large animals • ClienTrax computer system • Power float and electrojaculator
• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited university • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state for which applicant is to be employed • Must be friendly, outgoing, communicative, and positive.
