Our hospital was founded in 1956 and is one of the finest and most respected practices in Mid-Michigan. Some families have been coming to our hospital for 4 or 5 generations. We give back to our community by supporting school and service organizations, acting as an extern and mentorship site for high school and college students, including a steady flow of LVT students. We are engaged with local rescue groups in supporting their mission.
Our beautiful, state-of-the-art hospital was built 8 years ago and features too many amenities to completely list here. For example, we are one of the only practices in the area with a true isolation ward. We have a large, well lit, double surgery suite with adjacent recovery room with a glass wall to observe recovering patients. We also have a classroom with audio-visual equipment and an adjacent kitchen, which reflects our commitment to staff education. We have a large, secure fenced exercise yard.
We have all of the tools to practice great medicine including, color doppler ultrasound, digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, surgical laser, class 4 therapy laser, rigid endoscopy, tonopen, electronic blood pressure monitoring, etc..
As proud as we are of our building, we are even more proud of our talented and dedicated staff. Our licensed technicians and technologist, and our assistants are very well trained and have great critical care skills. We fully utilize their skills, to free our doctors to do what they should do. Our management team and front office staff has set high standards and are very well organized. Our animal caretakers are compassionate, intelligent, and very detail oriented. Our hospital is kept clean and odor free.
We believe in hard work, but also work-life balance. The Essexville area offers a wonderful quality of life, and is an ideal place to raise a family. The area has great school districts and local colleges and universities. The hospital is located only 3 ½ miles from Lake Huron’s Saginaw Bay and our city has an attractive water front area and downtown. There are great restaurants and nightlife here. Lot’s of outdoor activities are available in the area with watersports, county and state parks, wooded trails and nature areas, world-class fishing, and abundant, paved rail trails for biking and running. Our city is known for summer festivals and has one of the best 4th of July fireworks displays in the Country. We have minor league professional baseball and hockey, local theatre, a center for the arts and museums. All of this, without all the traffic jams and in an area with a low crime rate.
