Must be available to work any potential shifts and we are open 24/7 365 days ayear. However, the shifts are scheduled in blocks as much as possible to preserve balance of life and work, at times flexibility may be needed. The goal of the blocks are to reduce the amount of rotation in the schedule and reduce the need to jump between time slots in any single week or month. Another goal of the blocks is also to keep your days off grouped together and not split up into unusable or unenjoyable days stuck between long work blocks. Your skills and knowledge must be current. We uphold a high standard of practice and care for both clients and patients. Your communication skills must be excellent as well with both the hospital team, the clients and the referring veterinarians. Emergency experience is a preference for us, but personality, maturity, and work ethic all weigh into the equation. Emergency work is challenging and rewarding.
