We are seeking a Practice Manager in our New Orleans, LA practice. This position reports directly to the Regional Medical Director and works collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer and Leadership Team to provide general clinical and operational oversight for the practice. The Practice Manager is responsible for all clinical aspects of the practice (Clinical Managers, technicians and aides). The Practice Manager works collaboratively with the Operations, Marketing, Human Resources and Finance teams.

Provide practice oversight through continual and ongoing presence in clinical areas and collaboration with the Medical Director, Veterinarians and Leadership Team.
Provides an environment that promotes the competency of employee.
Manages Human Resources and payroll activities for the practice.
Manages employee benefits and employee relations through collaboration, supervision and direction of Human Resources.
Prepares, oversees and guarantees accurate and timely employees schedules, PTO approval, payroll and ongoing feedback and disciplinary follow through in collaboration with the Clinical Managers and Human Resources.
Key Collaborative Relationships:
Regional Medical Director to prepare the annual medical center budget and manage overall clinical activities to budget.
Client Services Manager to support front desk activities that include admissions, client/patient rooming, client invoicing, payment/Care Credit transactions, client departure activities and client questions related to services or billing.
Regional Operations Manager to ensure that clinical expectations and requirements are at the forefront of all operational decisions related to facilities expansion, facilities maintenance, equipment, supply and inventory management and information technology support.
Regional Finance Coordinator to plan charge audit activities, evaluate charge audit results and oversee and coordinate clinical activities to improve charging.
The Practice Manager collaborates with the leadership and veterinary team to provide the clinical perspective and support for marketing and outreach activities that include Referral Partner clinic visits, community events, continuing education (CE) activities sponsored by MedVet, as well as, Facebook and on-line/social media visibility.
Education and/or Experience:
Two or more years of Human Resources and/or administrative experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Practice management, or a related field is a plus.
Prior experience with a veterinary care facility will be prioritized.
Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) encouraged.
Registered/Licensed Veterinary Technician a plus.
All candidates must complete an acceptable background check, including references and a pre-employment drug test.
