In business since 1938, Amarillo Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Full-Time Veterinarian to join our well established privately owned small animal clinic in Amarillo, TX.
We are looking for friendly, driven, and passionate professionals that are comfortable with, and serving to, both people and animals. Candidate must be able to perform in stressful situations and be productive in a fast paced environment.
If you desire a place that can give you a multitude of areas to broaden and build your medical, surgical, and diagnostic skills, look no further. In this position, you will have the opportunity to apply strong clinical skills with both exam room preventative patient care and sick patient diagnostics and treatments. Mentoring is available if needed.
A 4 year doctorate in veterinary medicine degree and 1 year in related or similar work experience required. Also required is the ability to work as a productive team member with excellent communication skills as well as computer and phone skill sets.
Applicant must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekdays & Saturdays. We offer competitive wages. Salary depends on experience. We provide additional compensation for vacation pay, continuing education & licensing dues.
Our clinic utilizes digital X-ray, Idexx laboratory equipment and Cornerstone software.
No Emergency Calls
Hours are Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays. Winter Months - No Saturdays

Amarillo Veterinary Clinic was founded in 1938 by Luther M. Griffin, D.V.M. Later, Dr. Griffin added Loyal L. Rush, D.V.M.(Lt. Col. US Army WW II & Korean War) in the 1940s and Eugene Ansel Willis, D.V.M. and Dee Ray Jenkins, D.V.M. in the 1950s before he retired. The clinic served small and large animals throughout most of its existence. In 1961, J. Fred Love DVM came to Amarillo Veterinary Clini...c as a newly-graduated veterinarian. Drs. Love and Jenkins became the primary veterinarians and partners throughout 1970s. Dr. Love purchased the clinic from Dr. Jenkins when he retired in 1980 and has continued the mission of Amarillo Veterinary Clinic.
