Sheep & Beef Veterinarian Potential Development & Leadership Role
North Canterbury Veterinary Clinics is a 4 clinic mixed practice located 45 minutes north of Christchurch. Our location in North Canterbury means we enjoy all the benefits of rural town living, with everything that Canterbury has to offer on our back doorstep. Close to the Southern Alps, lifestyle choices abound with a wide range of recreational pursuits, fishing, boating, tramping, mountain biking, climbing, and we are 1 hour away from some of the best snow skiing in the country.
NCVC currently has a team of 16 vets who work closely with our Grazing Team, LA Technicians, the Animal Health & Veterinary Service Sales Team and our Vet Clinic Support Teams. We are now looking to recruit a Sheep and Beef Vet to complement our existing team. While the role will be predominantly be based in Amberley, we will require you to provide support and cover to our 3 other clinics to meet the needs of the business. Additional to working in a progressive Sheep & Beef farming region the role will offer a number of additional development options :
Candidates with leader potential could progress to the leadership of the team
Sheep & Beef specialisation with a focus on consultancy services ( Stockcare )

Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and expertise
Minimum 3years Veterinary experience in a mixed practice
A strong commitment to delivering high standards of care
North Canterbury Vets operates four clinics throughout the Hurunui District covering from just south of Amberley to the Conway River in the north and to the Lewis Pass in the west. Our clinics are located in Amberley, Cheviot, Culverden and Waikari. We are a mixed practice which deals with dairy cows, beef, sheep, deer, horses and alpacas as well as companion animals.
