Qualifications -Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited university. -License in good standing to practice in the state of Maryland -The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members and clients. -A progressive clinical mindset that is in the best interest of the patient -A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, and a focus on the education of clients -A positive, enthusiastic and team-oriented attitude. -Excellent people skills, surgical skills, computer/technology skills and the desire for continuing education and being informed on the latest medical advances. -3+ years experience in a small animal practice preferred, but will consider motivated recent graduates.

Develop a rapport with clients, perform physical exams, diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client the diagnosis of their pet's presented problems while educating them on the necessity of your treatment plan.
Generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on preventative health care, including but not limited to vaccines and appropriate nutritional care and products.
Maintain thorough and precise client and patient medical records; maintain up-to-date logs through established protocols; assist colleagues in patient discharge, follow-up care, and future management of the patient.
Stay up-to-date with new medical information, changes in the veterinary medicine profession, and attend continuing education meetings and seminars.
Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team and oversee daily technical services to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.-Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
