Full-time Veterinarian needed for Wildlife Hospital
Located in the beautiful Roanoke Valley, each year SWVWCR’s nonprofit veterinary and rehabilitation center provides care for more than 2000 patients, representing over 200 native migratory species, mammals, reptiles in the southwestern part of Virginia. The 1800 square foot center at SWVAWCR provides X-ray and surgical equipment.
Full-time position performing surgical and medical, including supervising the rehabilitation care of all patients. The position will require the candidate to work with volunteers, interns, staff and students and participating in any clinical research the center is asked to perform. Weekends and Holidays and occasional after-hour assignments.

Salary to commensurate with experience.
DVM degree from an accredited AVMA school plus 1 year minimum experience in veterinary clinical environment and wildlife medicine. Virginia state veterinary license required, or must be active within 30 days of employment. Candidate must be able to obtain a Federal Drug Enforcement Agency clearance for Class 2 -4. Fees will be paid by SWVAWCR. Board certification preferred. Application for a Category III permit through the State of Virginia will need to be obtained.
