The RGV Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic, a well established, non-profit is seeking a full-time Veterinarian for its high quality, high-volume spay/neuter and wellness clinic located in McAllen, TX. We are a Humane Alliance mentored clinic committed to reducing the number of homeless, sick and injured pets entering local shelters. Local animal center takes in approximately 32,000 dogs and cats every year and euthanize more than 70%. We have performed almost 60,000 surgeries since opening in 2009, offering our services to the general public, local animal centers and rescues. In October 2016, after almost 7 years at our original location; we moved our fully equipped, computerized practice into a newly renovated 6,000 s.f. facility suited for a growing practice.
We are looking for a motivated, well rounded Veterinarian to join our expanding practice and help lead our dedicated experienced veterinary support staff. We are looking to expand our practice to include income based, limited general medicine in an effort to better serve the growing population of the Rio Grande Valley. With a population of over 1.3 million and an average of 33% living below the poverty level, the need is great.
New graduates are encouraged to apply; training will be provided. Salary is negotiable and based on experience. Benefits are provided, including but not limited to: medical and professional insurance, licensing and professional association fees and continuing education.
Basic Requirements: -Must be a licensed Veterinarian in good standing in the state of Texas or eligible. -High volume and general practice experience preferred, but not required.
