The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University seeks a motivated, board-certified anatomic pathologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.
The position primarily involves a mixture of diagnostic service and teaching (veterinary students and residents), with the remaining effort used to pursue collaborative and/or independent research and other scholarly activities. Diagnostic caseload emphasizes companion animals (dogs, cats, horses) and wildlife. The. The Tufts University system, which includes schools of Arts and Science, Medicine, Dentistry, and Nutrition, actively fosters collaboration between campuses. In addition to traditional strengths in infectious disease, neuroendocrinology and regenerative medicine, the Cummings School is strongly committed to comparative oncology research. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess a DVM/VMD or equivalent degree and be certified by the ACVP or ECVP. Experience in diagnostic biopsy and autopsy, and the ability to independently sign out cases, is required. Preferred qualifications include a PhD degree, demonstrated contributions to published research, and experience teaching at the professional or graduate level. Strong communication skills and an ability to work in a team environment are essential.

About Tufts University
The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University seeks an experienced veterinary anatomist, to team-teach veterinary anatomy (both large and small animal) incorporating developmental anatomy principles to the students in the DVM curriculum. The position is offered at a faculty level (Assistant or Associate) commensurate with their level of experience and is available beginning July 2017.
