We are a rapidly growing mixed animal practice in southeast Ohio and the position listed is for our clinics in Pomeroy, Wellston and Athens, Ohio. Diagnostic and surgical equipment available includes digital radiography, Medrx videoscope, ultrasound, electrocautery unit, Cardell surgical monitors, Heska IV pumps, complete Idexx in-house bloodwork stations, Cornerstone veterinary software/computer system, recovery cages with heat/oxygen, isoflurane gas anesthesia units, isolation units, and more importantly a passionate, friendly support staff. We are also offering embryo transfer services for both small and large ruminants as well as portable Ibexx ultrasound for pregnancy checks and fetal sexing, should you be interested in that.Duties and responsibilities as one of our associate veterinarians include: working with the managing veterinarian and our veterinary support staff to establish and implement the policies that allow us to provide outstanding customer service and patient care, working toward continually improving client communication and satisfaction, communicating compassionately and effectively with clients, performing routine surgical procedures on a daily basis, and seeing routine and sick animal appointments daily.All experience levels are considered. Self-motivated, independent personality looking to advance his/her career. Willingness to work and provide a genuine concern about the productivity and profitability of the practice. Good people skills/bedside manner. Mixed animal duties are a plus, but not required. Surgical skills are a must for routine procedures. Rotational on-call duties would be preferred, but not required.
